About AidKit

AidKit’s cutting-edge technology transforms complex cash assistance programs into streamlined, secure, and dignified experiences. By seamlessly connecting applicants to vital resources, we're making aid radically accessible for diverse populations—including unhoused and unbanked. From simplifying complex benefits modernization projects for state agencies to standing up efficient disaster relief programs, AidKit helps it’s partners deliver aid with dignity.

We were our own first customer—AidKit started as a nonprofit initiative born from the need to support systematically excluded workers during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, AidKit provides the technology backbone for some of the nation's most innovative public safety net programs, having distributed hundreds of millions of dollars to people in need.

As we continue to grow rapidly, the opportunity for impact is immense. Apply to join our team if you're seeking meaningful work in an environment that trusts your judgment and values your unique contributions.

About the Role

What if your content skills could help communities access critical aid and benefits - not just market software? At AidKit, we believe powerful stories and clear, thoughtful communication can build trust in public systems and make technology more human. If you're looking for a role where your writing supports real impact, we want to hear from you.

We’re hiring a Content Marketer to shape and produce content across formats that drives engagement, builds credibility, and brings our mission to life.

You’ll drive strategy and create compelling content (LinkedIn posts, partner stories, long-form resources, and more), working across the funnel to help people understand what AidKit does and why delivering aid with dignity matters.

This role is ideal for someone who’s part strategist, part writer, part creator.

Great content earns attention by being genuinely useful. That means joining the conversations already happening in our space and offering something that informs, inspires, or helps people move forward. Your content will help them think through complex challenges by offering useful perspectives and creating clarity in a noisy space. Whether it’s a case study, LinkedIn carousel, or thought leadership piece, you bring an editorial mindset that prioritizes insight, relevance, and resonance.

Given the pace and scope of our content needs, AI-assisted creation is essential, not optional. Whether you're working with off-the-shelf tools or building your own lightweight agents, we’re looking for someone who actively integrates AI into their creative workflow to move quickly and stay sharp.

We’re looking for someone who can execute independently while helping us grow a strong, values-driven brand.

What You’ll Do

Content Writing & Publishing: Own content creation across all formats and channels. You’ll write, edit, and publish clear, compelling content with a consistent voice.

Partner Storytelling & Case Studies: Conduct interviews, develop story angles, and write case studies that highlight the impact of our work. Collaborate with partners and internal teams to ensure accuracy and resonance.

Long-Form Resources: Lead the development of whitepapers, reports, and educational content. Manage timelines, guide drafts, and ensure brand alignment.

Social Media & Brand Voice: Own our LinkedIn presence, working from a mix of original ideas, strategic briefs, and team contributions. Help evolve and maintain a brand voice that feels human, smart, and clear.

Creative Asset Production: Use Canva and AI tools to create and edit simple assets like carousels, short video clips, and graphics, especially for social and email.

Agency Management: Manage content and design agencies, as well as freelancers (and support PR coordination as needed). Provide briefs, edit drafts, and ensure quality and consistency.

About You

We’re looking for someone with the right skills, mindset, and passion for our mission. If you’re excited about this opportunity but don’t meet every single bullet below, we still want to hear from you.

Core Skills and Experiences:

  • 3–5 years of experience in content marketing, journalism, or copywriting roles
  • Proven ability to write and edit content across channels and formats
  • Comfortable using tools like Canva, Descript, or AI-powered writing and design platforms
  • Experience managing content calendars and meeting deadlines
  • Experience managing marketing freelancers or contractors
  • Prior work with government and/or nonprofit buyers is a strong plus

Mindset and Mission Alignment:

  • You’re a strong communicator who loves turning complexity into clarity
  • You balance creativity with structure and can manage multiple content projects at once
  • You’re excited to contribute to a mission that advances equity and dignity
