About Builder Prime

Founded in 2016, Builder Prime is a provider of cloud-based all-in-one customer relationship management (“CRM”), estimating, and project management software for home improvement contractors. The platform has been helping home improvement contractors save time, win more jobs, and earn more money. The vertical specific application consolidates many software tools and is the industry’s only solution that handles and automates the entire process from new lead to completed job for small to midsize (“SMB”) Contractor businesses.

In 2023, Builder Prime raised their Series A financing from Blueprint Equity and additional investors.

What we are looking for

This is a remote position open to candidates authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship, who presently reside in the US. There is a preference for candidates in states where we already have Builder Prime employees; California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, New York, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

We are seeking a strategic and experienced marketing leader to lead all aspects of our marketing efforts. Reporting to the VP of Operations and working alongside the broader leadership team, this person will be responsible for driving the overall marketing strategy. You will start with a small but mighty team and will have the opportunity to grow this function to what you envision an all-star marketing team should look like. You and your team will be marketing experts; responsible for crafting compelling messaging, creating content, driving demand generation, product positioning and product marketing, and all other marketing initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be an exceptional leader who attracts, develops and retains industry-leading talent. S/he is passionate about understanding customer needs, developing compelling narratives, and building scalable marketing programs for complex and technical analytics products. S/he will be well-versed in vertical SaaS industries, and will have a proven track record of growing a business to $30M+, hitting revenue-focused KPIs, and establishing best practices to enable a high-performing, metrics-driven marketing team

This position is a remote role. Travel will occasionally be required to the Denver, CO office. Additional travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end marketing strategy, including brand positioning, demand generation, digital marketing, product marketing, and customer engagement.

  • Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive customer journey that spans acquisition, engagement, and retention, in partnership with sales and revenue leadership.

  • Continue to refine our current marketing strategy and further define target customer, ideal customer profile, and buyer persons by analyzing competitive insights and win-loss assessments.

  • Create succinct, value-driven narratives that will display the value of the Builder Prime platform

  • Lead a cross-functional marketing team focused on creating a customer journey that spans acquisition, engagement, and retention, in partnership with sales.

  • Partner with the Product function to drive ongoing adoption of products and solutions by connecting the product roadmap and suite of products with our go-to-market strategy.

  • Ensure operational efficiency and scalable processes across all marketing activities.

  • Build, mentor, and grow the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. You will manage multiple direct reports and ensure the team is aligned with company goals and objectives.

  • Develop and execute targeted campaigns for key vertical industries to drive revenue growth and brand awareness.

  • Collaborate closely with sales and product teams to ensure alignment and maximize marketing impact.

  • Stay informed on trends and developments in the home improvement and construction tech space, leveraging insights to guide strategy.

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and in interactions with key stakeholders, enhancing our reputation and market presence.

  • Partner with industry legends and influencers to position Builder Prime as a leader home improvement SaaS space.

Ideal Skills or Background

  • Proven experience leading marketing efforts in a vertical SaaS company, with a strong understanding of selling to different vertical buyers; home improvement, subcontractor, or construction tech/buyers exposure is a nice to have

  • Comprehensive expertise across all marketing functions, including digital, content, brand, product marketing, and demand generation.

  • Strong ability to craft value-driven messaging for a range of buyers and markets

  • Demonstrated success in managing teams and scaling marketing operations

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills

Compensation

This position will pay a base salary of $180,000-$210,000 depending on experience and location, with an additional variable compensation element to be discussed in the interview process.
