THE ROLE

This is a remote position open to candidates authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship, who presently reside in the US. There is a preference for candidates in states where we already have Builder Prime employees; California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, New York, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Builder Prime is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager with a strong background and expertise in Accounting and Finance to contribute to our product strategy and roadmap, particularly focusing on expanding our commerce and financial features of our business management tool. You will collaborate with engineers, designers, marketers, and our sales team in this pivotal role. This high-impact, high-visibility position reports directly to the Senior Product Director and involves diagnosing growth opportunities throughout the customer journey. Your role encompasses developing and iterating on products across the Builder Prime platform, rallying the team to experiment, and delivering impactful business results.

THE DAY-TO-DAY

  • Strategy & Prioritization: Identify growth opportunities in the customer journey using qualitative and quantitative data, with a focus on accounting workflows and financial integrations.

  • Problem Solve: Demonstrate agility in diagnosing issues within financial and accounting modules, adjusting roadmaps and approaches accordingly.

  • Qualitative Research: Leverage experience in utilizing qualitative research to inform product development.

  • Quantitative Testing: Apply experience in setting up quantitative testing experimentation frameworks, including pre/post and A/B testing.

  • Cross-functional Leadership: Exhibit strong cross-functional leadership to align Marketing/Product/Engineering/Design/Sales to achieve OKRs. Communicate the need for work to drive organic growth to various audiences.

  • Industry and SaaS Knowledge: Demonstrate a basic understanding of SaaS products and how customers in the home improvement industry benefit from such products.

  • Curiosity: Display a keen interest in solving complex problems and exploring new technologies and ideas.

THE MUST-HAVES

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager with experience in commerce systems (accounting systems, inventory management systems, etc)

  • Fundamental understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and SaaS financial integration

  • Growth product management experience with increasing responsibilities (Construction Tech, CRM, or ERP experience is a plus)

  • A strategic and systematic thinker with a hypothesis-driven, data-driven approach to experiment design and learning

  • Embrace rapid experimentation, making decisions using available data

  • Self-starter with an appetite for continuous learning and improvement

  • Strong understanding of information architecture, multi-step, and cross-platform flows

  • Demonstrated product-thinking skills and experience conducting user research

  • Flexible, low-ego, with high standards for design and a passion for problem-solving

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of leading design conversations and presentations

  • Knowledge or experience in SaaS and the home improvement industry

This position will pay a base salary of $131,000 - $148,000 depending on experience and location.
