The Modeling and AI (MA) team leads KlariVis’s product and internal efforts in advanced analytics. This role is responsible for developing product features based on machine learning, statistical, heuristic, rule-based, and mathematical optimization approaches. Development is performed using KlariVis’s AI First / Specification Driven development process and may include integration with generative AI-based agents.

The Senior Machine Learning and Model-Based Analytics Engineer will work closely with product management, data engineering, and other members of the Modeling and AI team to translate requirements into shipped features and increase organizational efficiency using models, heuristics, and generative AI. This role requires senior-level software engineering and Python experience, hands-on machine learning and generative AI/large language model (LLM) development experience, and strong SQL and data skills.

Key responsibilities include developing analytics product features using generative AI, machine learning, statistical, heuristic, and rule-based approaches; building model-based analytics such as householding, deposit churn, deposit forecasting, customer lifetime value forecasting, and prescriptive analytics models; participating in code reviews; writing automated tests; monitoring deployed models and AI applications; and following KlariVis’s security, data handling, and change management practices.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

· At least 7 years of software development experience, ideally within a software product organization.

· At least 5 years of senior-level Python development experience.

· Experience building Python solutions using Pandas, scikit-learn, other Python machine learning libraries, and Python charting libraries such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Plotly.

· Proficiency with good code management practices, including version control processes and tools.

· Experience with Git and/or Azure DevOps.

· At least 4 years of intensive SQL experience, including the ability to write SQL at a senior level.

· At least 3 years of experience working with relational database management systems, including designing and creating tables and understanding DBMS performance mechanisms and role-based access controls.

· At least 4 years of experience focused on developing and deploying machine learning models.

· Experience deploying both machine learning applications/products and generative AI applications, agents, or tools into production.

· Thorough experience with feature development, including feature identification and analysis, feature scaling, and generating derived features.

· At least 3 years of data analysis experience.

Preferred Qualifications

· Additional software development experience in C#, Java, or Scala.

· Experience using self-hosted, open-source LLMs to build applications or products with user interfaces that interface with models through APIs, preferably with models hosted on Hugging Face.

· Experience using PySpark to process large datasets.

· Experience developing in Azure cloud environments.

· Experience with Azure SQL.

· React/TypeScript UI development experience.

· Experience with AI Elements or shadcn/ui.

Salary Description

$105,000 - $200,000
