Your Mission – As our first Head of Product you will spearhead our product vision, strategy, and execution. Reporting to and working directly with the CEO and Co-Founder, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product offerings, ensuring that our roadmap aligns with our customers’ needs both internally and externally, and delivering solutions on time and above expectations. This leadership role will be responsible for driving strategy, execution, and business outcomes for the entire customer lifecycle from acquisition to retention.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Operational Excellence
    • Develops and continuously communicates the product vision/roadmap with 2 years perspective while managing agile deliverables on a weekly basis.
    • Define and prioritize product initiatives based on a deep understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, and business goals.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, internal customers (pentesters), UI/UX, and other cross team communication to drive decisions on engineering based on vision and roadmap, to bring products to market successfully.
  • Cultivate a High-Performance Environment
    • Build a product management culture that with great judgment balances product intuition, design inspiration, market insight and data validation for creating delightful experiences.
    • Manage product managers, designer and UX, working to ensure and develop Sprocket’s values and facilitate the individual’s personal and professional development.
    • Provide guidance on product development methodologies, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Accelerate Growth
    • Maintain an industry-expert level of understanding and contribute to strategic conversations relating to relevant products and technology.
    • Applying vision and making the most out of team execution.
    • Drive the identification of market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to inform product roadmaps.
    • Conduct market research and customer feedback analysis to inform product enhancements and new feature development.

Qualifications:
Minimum:

  • Ability to envision and deliver the future.
  • Ability to influence and guide a cross-cultural and cross-continental team.
  • Experience leading and growing a product organization covering a multitude of use cases and various platforms.
  • Experience leading a product organization within Cybersecurity.
  • Strong understanding of the importance of data in product development and a demonstrated ability to leverage data insights to drive product strategy and decision-making.
  • An impressive intuition for the US market and perspective on how to develop product offerings for a global market.
  • Master’s degree in HCI, Computer Science, Engineering, or related.
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience of leading other product managers.

Preferred:

  • Product leadership experience within Penetration Testing or Offensive Security.
  • Experience working in a Cyber Security start-up environment.

Location:

  • Ideally currently residing or able to relocate to Madison, WI
